About

Carrie Burdzinski is a cellular and molecular biologist, writer, nutritionist, oboist, composer, homesteader, gardener, runner, rope-jumper, and voluntaryist. She is the founder and sole proprietor of AURUM Naturals, an organic/natural bath and body care company.

Carrie earned a B.Sc. in Honors Genetics from the University of Western Ontario and an M.S. in Biology (specializing in cellular and molecular biology) from Oakland University. She has instructed high school biology and chemistry, and college/university genetics, anatomy and physiology, general biology, and natural science.

Although her formal college training is in the sciences, Carrie is also a semi-professional oboist, performing with the Detroit-based Belle Isle Woodwind Quintet and offering private oboe instruction to students of all ages. The debut of Carrie's original piece "Five Stages of Grief" was performed by oboe performance major David Covert at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro in 2009.

Currently Carrie works as a college anatomy and physiology instructor.
